Granite Countertop Protection Film

PE protective film

Advantages: This protective film is based on a special polyethylene plastic film. It is inert to the surface of the protected material and will not have a chemical reaction with the granite countertop. It has good adhesion performance and will not easily warp or fall off during material handling and processing. Moreover, it has good weather resistance and stability of adhesive force. After several days or long-term adhesion, the peeling force does not increase significantly and it is easy to be removed. When removed, there is no residual adhesive left on the protected surface and no shadow is left.

Disadvantages: Compared with some protective films of other materials, the anti-scratch and anti-wear performance of PE protective film may be relatively weak, and its protection ability against the impact or friction of sharp objects is limited.

PET protective film

Advantages: The protective film made of PET material has high transparency and can well show the original color and texture of the granite countertop, basically not affecting the aesthetics of the countertop. It has high strength and toughness, and good anti-scratch and anti-wear performance, which can effectively resist slight scratches and wear that may occur in daily use. At the same time, the PET protective film also has good high-temperature resistance and is more suitable for environments such as kitchens where high-temperature items may be in contact.

Disadvantages: The price of PET protective film is relatively high, and it requires high skills and patience during the pasting process. Otherwise, bubbles or wrinkles are easy to occur, affecting the aesthetic appearance and protection effect.
