Protect the surface: Prevent the stone from being scratched and worn during transportation, installation and use, and maintain the smoothness and integrity of the surface.

Isolate stains: Stains such as oil stains and sauces on kitchen countertops, as well as cosmetic stains on bathroom countertops, are not likely to penetrate into the interior of the stone, making it easier to clean.

Prevent oxidation and discoloration: Reduce the contact between the stone and air, moisture, etc., slow down the oxidation process, and avoid the premature yellowing and discoloration of the stone surface.

PE (polyethylene) film: It has good flexibility, transparency and tensile strength, is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, has stable chemical properties, is non-toxic and odorless, and meets environmental protection requirements. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) film: It has relatively high hardness, good wear resistance and water resistance, and can effectively block the penetration of stains and water. However, it may release harmful substances in a high-temperature environment.

Viscosity selection: For temporary protection, low-viscosity or ultra-low-viscosity films can be selected, which are easy to peel off after the construction is completed; for long-term protection in places with high pedestrian flow, such as commercial kitchens, high-viscosity films can be selected.

Thickness selection: Select according to the usage environment and protection requirements of the stone countertop. Generally, a thickness of 0.1-0.3mm is more common. For areas with frequent use and prone to impact, a thicker film can be selected.
